We are delighted to announce that Arsenal NYC is proudly hosting the first official launch of Dave Seager’s 5th Arsenal book and second illustrated by Philadelphia’s own super-talented Poorly Drawn Arsenal (Jacob)
From Double Double to Invincibubble celebrates the 20th anniversary of Arséne Wenger’s unprecedented and glorious unbeaten season in poetic verse. Don’t let the comedic, poetic style fool you as every kick is described in detail, accompanied by Jacob’s fabulous illustrations of key moments.
You can read all about the book here.
The official Arsenal FC launch is not until the end of October, so we hope the New York Arsenal community will come out to support Dave and Jacob on the 7th October at The Ground. Seating is limited, so don't sleep on this!

Our own Alexis Guerreros of CBS Sports Golazo and Cooligans podcast fame will welcome our guests in his inimitable style before introducing 2015's The Invincibles, followed by a panel/Q&A debate in which Mike Feinberg will host Dave, Jacob and Alexis.
Dave and Jacob will also be selling and signing books. Oh and we can all drink lots too!
You can buy the book in advance when you reserve your place and early booking is welcome as it helps the London based publisher to know how many books to send.
There will also be a Gooners v Cancer charity element on the day and each book purchased will enter the buyer into a prize draw for an Arsenal 1st team squad signed shirt, given to Dave by Arsenal FC.

C'mon You Gunners!
Arsenal’s Coming to America. How Do I Get Tickets?
The rumors are true: Your favorite football club is crossing the pond to play a handful of matches on U.S. soil this summer. The official tour dates are as follows:
July 17
Arsenal v Bayern Munich: Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, California.
July 20
Arsenal v Roma: Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
July 23
Arsenal v Real Madrid : FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.
All matches are part of the International Champions Cup, a kind of preseason mini league with a bunch of the world’s top clubs. (Remember this; it’ll be important later.)
Can I get tickets with my Arsenal NYC membership?
Yes. Arsenal NYC members for 2019-20 season will receive a presale code enabling them to purchase tickets in a dedicated supporters’ section at each stadium.
Additionally, ICC is hosting its own presale. These seats will not be in a dedicated supporters’ section.
How much are tickets?
Please note that ICC sets the prices for each fixture, and negotiations have not changed them. Charlotte v Roma: $97 (taxes and fees not included), Los Angeles v Bayern Munich: $100 (taxes and fees not included), DC v Real Madrid: $125 (taxes and fees not included).
How many tickets can I buy?
Each presale code allows you to purchase up to 12 tickets.
Does every person who uses a ticket need to be a member?
No. But we encourage everyone to join!
What happens if tickets sell out?
We’re working with our friends at Arsenal America, Arsenal Canada, and Arsenal Philadelphia to ensure that we receive a large enough ticket allocation to accommodate all our members.
In the unlikely event that you are unable to obtain tickets through Arsenal NYC, there will be general sale tickets available via ICC and Ticketmaster.
The closest match is near Washington, D.C. Will Arsenal NYC get me there?
We are exploring the possibility of chartering transportation to the match in Maryland. The answer really depends on interest from our members — so hang tight, and we’ll update you when we know more.
What about the games in North Carolina and California?
Arsenal NYC will not be organizing group transit to these matches. However, we may create a way to connect members interested in making the trip together.
OK, sounds good. How do I become a member?
Membership is open on our website. We hope you join us!
Wait, one more question! How do I get tickets to Arsenal’s game against the Colorado Rapids?
The tickets for this friendly are limited, but if there is any interest in procuring tickets for this match, please email us at info@arsenal.nyc and we can coordinate a potential presale for this.

While the club will not be returning to NYC this summer, they will be participating in ICC matches in Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Washington, DC.
We are working closely behind the scenes with Arsenal America, Arsenal Philadelphia, and the club itself to get the largest possible ticket allocation for a Supporters Section. There will be events happening in each city, and membership is the best way to take full advantage of all that may be offered. Details for all of this will be communicated when they become available.
Remember that the advertised ICC presale will not get you tickets in the “Supporters Section” seating area. Those tickets will be available through Arsenal NYC with the 2019-20 membership and will let you sit amongst the group of Arsenal Supporters Club members. Details are currently being worked out with the club and venues, and we will let you know final arrangements as soon as we have them available.
Please note that membership for the 2018-19 season has closed. We have now opened up membership for 2019-20 to accommodate ticket requests to ensure that as many members as possible are able to get tickets. We hope you’ll join us in at least one of these fine cities.
Memberships may be purchased here.

Much like Arsenal FC, Arsenal NYC is going through a transition and embarking on a new era.
Our President and Founder, Kurtis Powers, has stepped down from his role into an Emeritus position, and Jessica Young, our former Secretary, will be taking over as President in his stead.
This means that the role of Secretary is currently vacant, but the good news is that we know one of our fantastic members will be able to step in and help us move forward in this new era.
We are also looking for a Ticket Liaison who will be able to help us fulfill the many ticket requests that we get to see Unai Emery's Red and White Army in action at the Emirates this season.
These roles are an integral part of helping Arsenal NYC continue to grow and expand going forward.
All nominees should be paid members from the 2017-18 season, and provide a resume and/or essay on why they would be a great candidate. Nominations are due by Monday, August 6th. The roles and responsibilities are described below:
The Secretary of Arsenal NYC
The Arsenal NYC Secretary is responsible for the maintenance and oversight of all club record-keeping, as well as the overall management of the membership sale and renewal process.
This includes: Compiling and distributing meeting minutes of all meetings to the club Board of Directors, Compiling/distributing meeting minutes for the annual AGM, tracking membership sales and renewals (including maintenance and oversight of the club’s membership roster), facilitating the shipment of membership packets, serving as the direct supervisor of Pub Liaisons and Social Media Team, and other duties as dictated by the President or Vice President.
In the event that the Vice President is temporarily unavailable to perform their duties, the Secretary will serve as the backup to perform those roles and responsibilities.
The Ticket Liaison of Arsenal NYC
The Arsenal NYC Ticket Liaison is responsible for the coordination and management of all Supporters Club ticket requests.
This includes: Tracking member requests, Maintaining communications and answering questions for requestors, Monitoring the success or failure of ticket requests on the Arsenal supporters club portal, and Informing requestors of that success or failure. While not always possible, the Ticket Liaison is expected to make attempts to secure tickets via alternate means in case of a failed request, via means such as posting requests on the supporters club portal. The Ticket Liaison will report directly to the club Treasurer.
The Graphic Designer of Arsenal NYC
The Arsenal NYC Graphic Designer is responsible for creating art for Arsenal NYC that can be shared on our website, and through social media.
This includes: creating art and/or graphics for Arsenal NYC match invites, other events, and potentially other channels. The designer must be able to come up with standard templates, and work with our Social Media officer to ensure that content is posted in a timely manner.
If you're a paid or former member, and interested in applying for either or both of these roles, please email info@arsenal-nyc.com with your resume/qualifications and we'll reach out to you in the coming weeks.
]]>He helped Arsenal NYC advance from being a loose, but tight-knit community, into a functioning non-profit with over 300 members each season since we became official in 2014. We aim to keep this momentum going as we look to transition with a new board of directors. We will be making announcements about elections for the 2018-19 season in due course.
We wish Kurtis the best in all of his future endeavors, and do look forward to still seeing him around the pubs on occasion. Thank you, Kurtis, for everything!
