Arsenal NYC President and Founder, Kurtis Powers, will be stepping down at the end of this season into an Emeritus role. He and Brett Chase founded Arsenal NYC in 2007 to create a community of Gooners to share their victories and defeats, and their good times and bad.
He helped Arsenal NYC advance from being a loose, but tight-knit community, into a functioning non-profit with over 300 members each season since we became official in 2014. We aim to keep this momentum going as we look to transition with a new board of directors. We will be making announcements about elections for the 2018-19 season in due course.
We wish Kurtis the best in all of his future endeavors, and do look forward to still seeing him around the pubs on occasion. Thank you, Kurtis, for everything!
